Privacy policy

Atoll is a Mac app owned by its holding company, Ziggo Ventures (“we”). This policy explains what Atoll collects, why, where it is kept and the choices you have. Questions: dev@ziggo.ventures.

What Atoll collects

How Atoll uses your data

Only to provide Atoll’s features to you: showing, searching and sorting your conversations, sending what you write, reminders, calendar and booking features, and Bron’s drafts and summaries. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Bron (AI): Bron’s AI features run on your Mac through your own Claude (Anthropic) or Codex (OpenAI) account that you sign in to inside Atoll. When you use them, the content needed for the task is sent to that provider under your account with them, and their terms apply.

Google user data

Atoll asks Google for: your name, email address and profile picture (to sign you in); Gmail (to read, label, archive and send email from Atoll); Google Calendar (to show and change your events and calendars); and Google Drive, limited to the files you pick or Atoll uploads, and to file details (names, owners, dates) for the Drive file browser.

Google data is used only to provide these features in Atoll for you. It is not transferred to others except to provide or improve these user-facing features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with notice to you. No person reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or to comply with law, or it has been made anonymous.

Atoll’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where your data is kept

Atoll keeps a copy of your data on your Mac and on its servers, so it stays in sync and works while your Mac is off. Our service providers are Supabase (database and sign-in, São Paulo, Brazil), Fly.io (Atoll’s servers, São Paulo, Brazil) and PowerSync (syncing data to your Mac). Data is encrypted in transit; sign-in tokens for your connected accounts are stored encrypted.
